I am not as dramatic as before. But later that day I went to work and was pleasant. I appreciated every human being there...I was considerate and completely genuine about it. It was a really nice day... Since I started really early, it was mostly senior citizens shopping. I was lucky enough to meet a nice gentleman. He came in with his walker...it was sort of a step stool/walker. He showed me some stamp ink he had purchased from a different day and told me he didn't mean to buy the red ink, he meant to buy the black. He asked me to hold on to it while he looked for the correct one. The ink was sooo far away, though. I offered to go get it for him before he was walking as fast as a turtle in his little stool/walker. He just smiled and said, "No, I know where it is, I've been shopping here for years." About 25-40 minutes later he finally showed up with the ink and a big desk calender on the stool portion of his stool/walker. He came up and I asked him for his receipt...he didn't have one so I grabbed his I.D. I usually just type in DL#...but since I was in the type of mood I was...I checked his birthday. It said that he was born in 1914. He didn't look that old...he looked like 80 at the most... But I was looking at it quickly while also making chit-chat so I wasn't too sure. I made a comment about the weather and I told him to enjoy his day. "I'm ninety-four and half years old, I'm going to enjoy every day I have." It really cheered me up... Life is precious...
